Youth of America,
One of the things that's great about America is that it has "government by the people, of the people and for the people". But does it Really?
I fear that many of us are not aware of, or simply don't care about the things that are happening in our country right now. However, our future is at stake. We think that nothing could ever happen to America. We think that this country will always remain free. But while we text our friends, listen to our iPods and spend countless hours playing video games, the government is hard at work destroying our country as we know it. You probably think I'm exaggerating, but I'm really not. President Obama and the rest of the progressives are not going to take care of us. They are making laws that put restrictions on OUR freedoms. Nothing seems to stop them... Not even the constitution. While we live our lives without a care, America is dying. Our president and congress are not the answer. Most likely, they are the problem! We must stand up and fight for our freedoms or we may live the rest of our lives without them. One day, we will look at our children and grandchildren and wish they were able to have all of the freedoms and privileges that we once had. We will want them to have a better life than we did. But they won't. All because the people of this country did not rise up and shout, "THAT'S ENOUGH!". The Founding Fathers risked everything, including their lives to give us this country, and we are repaying them by letting it slip trough our fingers. We live in the greatest country that ever has existed, but it is falling and has been doing so for a hundred years. But it does not have to continue. In fact, we can reverse the damage that has already been done if we raise our voices and get good, honorable people into office. We as youth are not powerless. We can make a huge difference if we want to. But that's the question... do we want to? Are we willing to put in the effort?
In Valley Forge, George Washington and his army were faced with much adversity. The men were half-naked in the snow, they had little food, few blankets, many were without shoes. Most of them were just average farmers. But when spring came, they were a much stronger army. They were willing to put in the effort to create this country. Are we willing to preserve it?
I will be writing in this blog about how our government is "out of control", what they are doing to our country and our future and how we can stop it. I will also give a more detailed history of George Washington's struggles and experiences at Valley Forge. When enough people become involved, perhaps we can even make a peaceful demonstration in Washington D.C.
I challenge you to get your friends, Parents, Relatives And every one else inspired and involved. If we the people unite, we can save America. But if we do not, She is doomed. YOU are Liberty's hope. Don't let her down.
Sincerely,
The Young Patriot
